A small Hello from the Open Source exhibition in Switzerland.

On March 24/25 2010, the OpenExpo took place in Bern, the beautiful capital of Switzerland. It has become a tradition for the Swiss TYPO3 Usergroup to represent our favorite CMS during this exhibition.

During the two days (and we're still here), we've been introducing TYPO3 to many interested visitors. The main attraction was the preview of the upcoming introduction package which is about to be released soon. It seems to us like people are really liking it a lot!

Additionally, we've been collecting feedback from existing users, which was immediately forwarded to the developers in charge (see http://bugs.typo3.org/view.php?id=13915). Also, Xavier Perseguers (member of the DBAL team) had interestingly noticed that support for non-MySQL database systems was asked quite a few times.

Like every year we've also met quite some companies who are already using TYPO3. As some of them did not yet know about the TYPO3 Association, we explained them the meaning of, and why it is important for them to become a member.

I would like to thank Ingo Renner, François Suter, Mario Rimann and Xavier Perseguers (in order of their travel distance) for spending their precious time to be with me at the TYPO3 booth.

Michael
