As you might (or might not) know, the extbase persistence lacks quiet some features (proper workspaces and languages support, performance issues, nearly no [at least no easy] way to be extended). Of course we want to change that.
The idea of re-working the persistence layer (either re-pair or re-write) came up quiet some time ago, but no break-through-progress was made yet. At the T3DD12 more and more people showed intrest in getting involved with this task, which is a very good thing. The more heads we involve, the better solutions we will get ...
To kick off our persistence work (and eventually forming an "Extbase Persistence Taskforce"), I'd like to use the coding night and invite you to join a short (aprox. 30 minutes) conceptual kick-off meeting on Saturday evening. Even if you don't want to get involved yourself, it would be great if you could support us with the conceptual work and your ideas.
We will meet on Saturday, 14.4. at 7 p.m. in the room "jweiland" (subjected to change, please follow @extbase on twitter!).
