Hackontest-ing

Category: François Suter

By: François

Have a thought for those who are about to spend the night in a freezing container for the greater glory of TYPO3!

The container where the action takes place

The Hackcontest officially started today at 10:00 GMT+1. It takes place in a container in front of the entrance to the OpenExpo (an IT exhibition), in Winterthur, Switzerland. Core team members Dmitry Dulepov, Oliver Hader and Ingo Renner will stay there until 10:00 GMT+1 tomorrow morning. Their task is to implement an impressive list of features (see link below).

This morning they were quite cold and some heating was brought in, let's just hope it will be enough for the night. They are allowed to go out occasionally, but, most importantly, they are allowed to be linked up with the whole community. So if you want to support our all-stars team drop in on the IRC channel and give them a few thumbs up. If you're more inspired help them code or test their patches!
