I posted *) five thoughts on content management systems:

A future-proof CMS will be recognized by its content repository, easy editing, high integration, extendibility & standard comformity.

It will run on distributed systems and be able to consume, enrich and distribute content to many target systems.

It should offer robust core functions and enable its users to deploy fast and easily.

Its usability should be as easy as possible to avoid barriers for a daily use and support the migration of content objects.

Last but not least it should be released on a open source license and have a worldwide, open & strong community around it.

What do you think?
