Category: Olivier Dobberkau, Technology, Core

By: Olivier Dobberkau

TYPO3 - Now with stronger Core Devs: YOU.

The TYPO3 Core Developer Team have openened their Mailinglist to the general audience. Now we can look over the shoulders and get an impression of the work done by them. Great!

Update:

Ingmar Schlecht has pointed out to me that the real news is that everyone can submit patches to the list and vote for changes...

More Details about this: (Especially if you want to submit patches, there some formal stuff to be comply with)

Follow this Link to find out:

http://typo3.org/teams/core/core-mailinglist-rules/

You can read it with a decent Newsreader here:

The Archive can be found here: http://lists.netfielders.de/pipermail/typo3-team-core/

I have the impression that being watched has accelarated thoses guys... :-)

Nice move and keep going.

And: be inspired to share. Now there is a door...

PS: Thanks Ingmar for the pointer

I don't think that it's the "being watched factor" that really made the difference but the desire by some CoreDEV to show how valuable "external" input can be.

I'm really happy to see how fast patches are tested and committed.

"Inspiring people to share" has never been so true !

Oh, and of course an upcoming release raises activity on the list, that's a pretty regular sight. :)
