That was a stressful moment.
In April 2009, while attending T3CON 2009 in Dallas, I took the exam to get the only TYPO3 certification known to mankind. The moment I saw the opportunity to take part of the exam I shared the information with my colleague Pierre Rouwens and we registered.
I heard that the exam was not easy, that there were tricky questions and even more stressful, this sentence on the certification site:
"There can be more than one correct answer to any of the questions and there is always at least one right answer."
Talk about tricky.
Since we signed a non-disclosure agreement, I will not give you any more information because the certification website already gives you the key: What will be tested.
So, a month later, this morning, I had an email from the Certification Team. The good news was the attachment name: Success Letter for 99_99.pdf. Can you guess what I read ?
We are very pleased to inform you that you have successfully passed the exam... You are now allowed to call yourself «Certified TYPO3 Integrator...
Champagne !
I made it. Pierre too. That's awesome. I was over-energized the full day.
So, after 6 years of promoting TYPO3, five official events (4 in Europe), doing full evening presentation for TYPO3 Québec, being in 3-4 podcasts, inviting 3 CoreDev at my house (Kasper, Sebastian and Karsten. I'm sooooo selective...), I think that my certification comes as a nice wrap up. To use a buzzword I would say that I'm now "360 degrees TYPO3" ;)
