TYPO3 at DMR Conseil in Québec

Category: Patrick Gaumond

By: Patrick

I leave Université Laval last March after 13 years of services. Now still working in Québec with TYPO3 but in a big consultancy shop: DMR, a Fujitsu's company.

Yann Sadok, Martin Hallé, Denis Fecteau, Steeve Monnière, Patrick Gaumond, Pierre Rouwens.

I will not blog a lot about my job or job's projects but here's a quick entry...

I've got many offers to try new jobs while I was at university but last December and later in January, three TYPO3 related offers just arose. At first I was just wondering what they had to offer in term of salary, yes, but also in the long run.

I finally made the move to join DMR, a pretty big consultancy company based in Québec city. When I say big, I mean more than 700 people in my beloved city! And what is great so far is that even with its size, the atmosphere is pretty warm and friendly. Co-workers are nice and wise. That's one thing that I missed in my last year at university... working with other nerds. ;)

I've been part of a new team to set up a TYPO3 S.W.A.T team for DMR because TYPO3 has been popularized a lot in Gouvernement du Québec since Kasper was visiting me here in 2004 and the government is the biggest customer of our company...

The picture for this article is in fact the actual DRM TYPO3 team... Here's also a french article on our website about us:  Une équipe dédiée à TYPO3 chez DMR.

See my article on the popularity of TYPO3 in Québec.

So you have a happy guy still promoting TYPO3 usage in his Province while getting butter to put on his bread (and maple syrup on his pancake).
